Despite decades of campaigning and many programs being designed to make financial services and technology companies more diverse, most boardrooms remain predominantly white and male. In short, the financial services and technology industries have not solved their problem with diversity (or should I say the lack of). The benefits of workplace diversity have been highlighted many a time, yet, women and ethnic minorities still remain as two hugely underrepresented groups within these industries. This is why I decided to create WEMVision.
At WEMVision, we believe that diversity truly matters. So, we are changing the face of the finance and technology industries by enhancing opportunities for women and ethnic minorities to secure their dream roles. We aim to achieve this by encouraging women and ethnic minorities to apply for roles within the financial services and technology industries through providing members with regular job opportunities, educational events and through providing one-to-one mentoring within minority communities.
We are on a mission to support the social mobility of women and ethnic minorities through employment, and to enable inclusive companies to build a future-proof pipeline of diverse talent.
